A Letter From the Editor

As a freelance writer and consultant, I take a lot of exploratory calls with potential clients that go absolutely nowhere. It’s just part of the freelancing game. I’m telling you this because I am very accustomed to not getting my hopes up, no matter how amazing a project sounds. 

When I hopped on an exploratory call with Aelyn’s founder Ariana Gaffoglio, I took my usual hardened approach to hoping for the best but expecting nothing. Little did I know that within five minutes of meeting Ariana we would fall completely into step. As she walked me through her vision for Aelyn I felt everything click. I could see her vision clearly even though the company was still just an idea. From that moment on, I became immediately invested in Aelyn’s mission and committed to helping Ariana bring her vision to life. 

What is that mission? To help people live their best lives. To help them build a career they love. To help them manage their money and eliminate financial stress. To help them navigate some of life’s hardest moments where it’s so easy to feel alone. 

Through Aelyn, we want to make sure you never feel alone. 

We’re here to help and this blog is just one resource Aelyn is bringing you to make sure none of your major life questions go unanswered. 

The point of this letter is to say hi and introduce myself, because you’ll see me around the blog a lot. I run a content strategy and creation business which is how I met Ariana. For almost three years we collaborated on creating this blog, Aelyn’s courses, and many other exciting resources that are coming soon. 

As a writer, I spend most of my days researching and writing about topics that can help readers solve some of their biggest life problems. Not sure how to clean up your credit score after getting into debt? Want to be more productive at work? Are you struggling to maintain friendships as an adult? Whether I need to roll up my sleeves and do some much needed research or interview an expert for insider insight, I do my best to create resources that are both helpful and enjoyable to read. I have experience working in the tech industry, financial sector, and career space. I also work with lifestyle publications and brands to keep a fun balance going. Point being is, if you have a question, I’ll make sure Aelyn helps you find the answer, no matter what that question is. You can learn more about my work here and get to know me personally here. Through this blog we’ll dive into topics that complement our courses and a myriad of other topics that we want to discuss that we haven’t navigated in course form (yet). I hope this space gives you a chance to take a break, learn a few helpful tips, and to gain insight into the many important topics we didn’t learn about in school. I don’t know about you, but I’ll trade that month we spent learning to square dance for a deep dive into how paying our taxes works.
